Awesome avatar. My only critique is, the base feels a little plain for such a fantastic model.

I know what you mean, but i also didn't want to distract from the model! Any ideas on what i should add?

Depending upon the basing scheme used for the rest of the army, you could use lava bases to add some pizzaz, or some after effects of his wrath. Since he's hot, using melted metal (either tank remains, or power armor seared through). Another take would be to and flaming brush, or other consumables.

One last thought would be to change his placement on the base and put some seared/flaming footprints in his wake.

Looks great though.

Great looking Avatar, I love the color effects and the shading on the armor. Really well done here. I envy you because I have the Forgeworld with the long spear and I have always liked the sword model better.

My only complaint with this model is the stats, for the points he's a beast but I want to see an apocalypse version that is up there with the Greater Daemons. Imagine a greater Khaine shard that's twice as big and can beat down An'ggrath!

I mean if consider that Kaela Mensha Khaine was in the ranks of Slaanesh for ability, I think when he shattered his greater pieces should be for Apocalypse at Greater Deamon status and his smaller pieces at Daemon Prince standards in normal play. Honestly, who wouldn't want to paint that?
