Last night I had a great game against Adam's Mech Guard at Ready-to-Run Models in East Grinstead. We used the new Scenarios. (I got my ass handed to me)
But I managed to get a few snaps of the game and decided to have a quick play is PS

"Getting your ass handed to you" means nothing in regard to gaming; no one defeated you at all just like when you play the game, you're not "winning" or "victorious" you're just rolling better dice. No one should ever feel bad about losing a miniature game.

And I disagree with Anonymous... You do indeed win or lose or even get your backside handed to you... That is part of what makes the game fun. For me, emotional investment = fun... Just don't be a tool (btw, I didn't get any sort of tool vibe from you post)
Got to watch a battle missions game the other day... some missions really stack it for or against one side...
I was playing an Eldar one as Eldar and still lost! He got 2 VP's for every unit i got 1 and 3 for his HQ i lost by 18vps to 9 :(
The ass handed comments was in jest as I was only playing a fun game :)
My God, East Grinstead is looking a bit rough these days. A far cry from civiised life out here in Medway. :)

PS I worked in the Rentokill labs back in the 70s for summer. Had the most aweful digs in East Grin.
